There are many things to miss about childhood: summer breaks, no work responsibilities, and endless energy, to name a few. That said, there are also plenty of parts we don’t miss at all about that time of our lives. Irrational fears are at the very top of that list. Sure, we still get those as adults. But the frequency, and intensity, tends to be higher as kiddos. And while these fears feel very real at the time, in hindsight, they can be rather funny.

That’s why a social media user is inviting strangers online to share their “most irrational fear” from childhood. While some do get a bit more serious, there are plenty you can’t help but laugh at… speaking of which, did anyone else notice how often the mystery of the Bermuda triangle is mentioned in children’s media?
Tornados are no joke, obviously. This is something you come to learn rather quickly when you grow up in certain areas of the United States. That said, this one person’s fear of twisters was rather specific:
“I also lived in the mountains,” Rachel adds in reply to her own comment, “and my hometown had never had a tornado in its history.”

It must be incredibly inconvenient for someone you fear to be such a prominent figure in the news and at holiday events. On a similar note, any toilet related fears also seem particularly unfortunate.
