The Canadian low-cost carrier, WestJet, made headlines last year with its surprise for passengers on two Calgary-bound flights. As the passengers arrived, gifts from their Christmas wish lists were waiting for them in baggage claim. It’s no surprise that the video went viral.

This year, WestJet brought “a snowy Canadian Christmas to a community in the Dominican Republic.” The holiday spirit was beaming in the small town of Nuevo Renacer all thanks to the incredible people of the Calgary-based airline. The 2014 WestJet ‘Christmas Miracle’ made Santa Claus appear, surrounded by a ton of fake snow, and, of course, with tons of gifts.
WestJet started their jolly surprise with a blue sleigh placed in the town center. But it wasn’t just any sleigh. On the front was an interactive video screen which asked the residents what was on their Christmas wish list this year. Although they probably weren’t expecting Santa to grant these wishes, gifts galore were delivered the next day, making this happy holiday even brighter.
