All across the world, people are uniting to cope with and prevent the spread of COVID-19. Now more than ever healthcare workers are sacrificing so much to support their communities. There doesn’t seem to be a gesture grand enough to demonstrate how grateful we all are for what they do, but we can certainly try!
Famous cellist Yo-Yo Ma recently stepped up with his own heartfelt thank-you. He recorded himself playing the sarabande from Bach’s “Cello Suite No. 3” and posted a video to Twitter. “This is for the healthcare workers on the frontlines,” he wrote. “Your ability to balance human connection and scientific truth in service of us all gives me hope.”
Watch his beautiful demonstration of appreciation in the clip below, and share this story to encourage anyone you know who is risking their safety to help others.
