Back in October of 2010, Chris Norton was playing football for the Luther College when he made a tackle that changed his life forever. The tackle left him paralyzed from the neck down, and doctors only gave him a 3% chance to ever have movement below his neck again.
In spite of such tragic news, Chris was determined to dream big in regards to his recovery. That determination culminated a year ago with the dream of one day walking across the stage to receive his college diploma.
After hours of therapy and hard work, and tons of support from his family and new fiance, Chris was able to achieve his dream. With his entire class cheering him on, Chris walked across that stage and received his diploma earlier this May!
I started tearing up when he took that first step while holding onto his fiance’s arms… he’s such an inspiration! Please share this story to spread Chris’ story of never giving up.
