When Walt was only 12 years old, he says that God gave him a vision of his future daughter. The little girl he saw had olive skin, brown eyes and a sweet smile. Walt even knew her name… Chloe. The years went by and eventually Walt fell in love with and married his childhood friend, Annie. Soon the duo began to dream of their future family.
Walt was amazed to learn Annie also dreamed of someday naming her future daughter Chloe, and the pair felt sure it was some kind of sign. Over the next four long years, the dream Walt and Annie shared of Chloe came to feel just like that– a dream– as the couple struggled with infertility. Still, they both desperately wanted kids and clung to the promise of Chloe they both felt God had given. They tried and tried to no avail… until Annie finally brought up the option of adoption.
Walt was totally against the idea. If the child was not his own flesh and blood, he wouldn’t even consider the option. Thankfully, Walt’s heart slowly softened until one day Annie got an email from the adoption agency. “It’s a girl!” it said.
Still unconvinced this was the path they were destined to take, Walt decided to support his wife and go with her to meet the birth mother. It wasn’t until Annie and Walt visited the birth mother that they made a stunning realization.
Check out the incredible moment Walt’s heart changed in the video below! Do not forget the tissues.
