Emaciated Dog Gets Beautiful New Life After She Was Abandoned On The Street.

Animal rescuers do such incredible work!

When employees from Berwick Animal Rescue Kennels found an abandoned dog on the street in Blyth, Northumberland, they were left “speechless” because of the condition she was in. Tiggy weighed just 24 pounds and was in desperate need of care.

They immediately placed her in a foster home, where she received round-the-clock care, nutritious food, and all the love she’d clearly been missing.

Still, they feared the sweet pup wouldn’t make it until Christmas, but she responded incredibly well to treatment and began to thrive. Not only that, but BARK manager Jan Ross said she has such a sweet personality that everyone she meets falls in love with her!

BARK shared Tiggy’s story online and received an incredible outpouring of donations and support from their community.

Now that she’s in the right hands, Jan said she’s “doing great.”

When she came a few days ago, she was over 39 pounds (18 kg). Another couple of kilos, which will probably mainly be muscle, and she’ll be target weight. She has an amazing personality. Her fears get smaller each day.

Thanks to these animal activists, Tiggy has discovered a whole new world filled with kindness, compassion, and love! She enjoys walking on the beach, playing with her tennis ball, and snuggling up next to a nice warm fire. The best part? She’s found a wonderful forever home — and will head there in style!

“Tiggy has had donations including food, collars, coats, jumpers, treats, and toys,” Jan said. “She has a wardrobe most women would be proud of.”

Thank goodness BARK found Tiggy in time! Because of their hard work, she’s going to have a beautiful life from now on.
