One of the most compelling aspects of The Voice is that you never know what a contestant will sing. Coaches often encourage them to step out of their comfort zone and try something new.

During season 26, Gwen Stefani, Reba McEntire, Snoop Dog, and Michael Buble each want to take home the win. Reba won last season and is determined to retain her title, but her fellow coaches put together strong teams hoping to dethrone her.
As the competition heats up, the coaches will have to make some tough eliminations during the Playoff round beginning November 19. Parade Magazine got a sneak peek of one of Team Gwen’s heavy hitters. Jan Dan performed an incredible rendition of Kansas’ Dust In The Wind that left the judges very emotional.
Jan Dan Made Gwen Stefani Cry
As Jan Dan sang the 1977 ballad, he entranced the coaches with his beautiful vocals and stage presence. At one point, the camera turned to Gwen, who had tears in her eyes. She clearly realized that using her save to keep Jan Dan in the competition was the right move. After he finished singing, the coaches all praised his performance.
Reba told Jan Dan she loved his vocal styling and could listen to him sing an entire concert of songs.
Michael Buble remarked about Dan Jan’s ability to perform so many styles of music. “So far, we have heard you sing Brandy, Stevie Wonder, and Miley Cyrus. And now, you’re singing Dust in the Wind by Kansas. With all of these genres, what else do you have up your sleeve?”
Snoop joked he didn’t expect Dan Jan to sing Kansas, “First of all, you ain’t supposed to be knowing these songs. You put your own twist on it, which gives it the soul and the original version. Great job Jan Dan.”
But it was The Voice’s Gwen Stefani who gave Dan Jan the highest compliment: “Let me just wipe my tears. This is a man who chooses notes that are so artistic and beautiful. He’s a painter with his voice. I think you’re just so cool. I think I have to listen to the spirit.” Gwen joked, “I think the Holy Ghost is over here now, Snoop.”
The Voice Playoff rounds start November 19 on NBC.
