The People Have Spoken! Police Dog Found Not Guilty By Reason Of Adorableness.

Mug shot of police dog caught stealing another cop's lunch

Police dogs are valuable members of any police department, but at the end of the day… they’re still dogs.

The Wyandotte Police Department in Michigan recently engaged their community with a Facebook post that has us all giggling. In it, they accuse K9 officer Ice of stealing a human cop’s lunch. Don’t worry; the good people of Wyandotte had Officer Ice’s back!

“Stealing is not only a crime but it is morally wrong too,” the department’s post began.

“It saddens me to report that a current officer of the Wyandotte Police Department is under investigation for stealing!”

They went on to describe how Officer Barwig was eating lunch in the breakroom when he left the room for a moment. When he returned, Officer Ice was “licking his chops” as he strolled from the room, and Officer Barwig’s lunch was nowhere to be found.

“Ofc. Ice has invoked his fifth amendment right to remain silent and quite frankly is not cooperating with the investigation,” the post continued. “He has a history of rummaging through trash cans that are within his reach. There have been several other accusations of him taking food right from coworker’s hands as they walk by.”

When they asked for the public’s opinion on how to proceed, they got an earful!

Sounds like circumstantial evidence. He does not look guilty so thus must be presumed to be innocent.
I'll be this officers attorney pro bono if need be. If the teeth don't fit you must acquit.
Finders keepers
Possession is 9/10th of the law.
Case dismissed
Defamation case and belly rubs compensation awarded.
Proximity to a crime does not prove guilt. He probably got a drink of water and that was why he was licking his chops . . .

Not only did the community rush to clear Officer Ice’s name, but several attorneys offered to represent the suspect “pro bone-o!”

The police department issued an update later stating that they’d heard the public’s opinion, and they will honor their request to drop all charges.

“We have been threatened with massive protests if we move forward with our investigation and/or charges,” they shared. “Plus the overall public just doesn’t believe he is guilty. No video has been produced.”

One kind citizen even showed up at the station with lunch for everyone, including Officer Ice!

“That being said Ofc Ice will not face any internal discipline or criminal charges,” the department stated. “Matter of fact one of his local supporters, Lunch Wyandotte, dropped him off a custom made sandwich today because they felt like he wasn’t being fed enough. Side note, they threw the officers a tray of sammies too!”

Justice for Ice! No one was going to see this cutie get punished for doing normal dog things, and they were very vocal about him being “pawsitively innocent.” Way to go, citizens of Wyandotte!
