Perseverance. Dedication. Hard work. That’s what it takes to be an Ironman triathlete. These are qualities the that each one of us should strive for in every part of our lives.

The race consists of a 2.4-mile swim, a 112-mile bicycle ride and a marathon 26.2-mile run, raced in that order and without a break. To be honest, I’m a little tired just hearing that… but, on the other hand, Heather’s insight into how she prepares for each race – about pushing through the pain, staying focused, and making success a priority – makes me inspired to fight through the challenges in my own life.
