10-Yr-Old Artist Earns Over $65K Selling Paintings And Gives Every Cent To Charity.

Daisy Watt of Misson, England, is a natural artist – and humanitarian.

The 10-year-old known as “mini Monet” could already have a lucrative career selling her stunning floral paintings. But while people do pay for her pieces, she doesn’t keep a dime to herself.

Daisy was 6 years old when her talent first caught her mom Karen’s attention. Back then, two of Daisy’s grandparents, Arthur and Polly, were diagnosed with cancer. The little girl decided to give them a painting to lift their spirits.

“Although she’s always been really creative it was when she created that painting for her grandparents that we realized she had something special,” Karen said.

Karen loved her daughter’s work so much she suggested Daisy create a similar piece to auction off for charity at a local gallery. And Daisy loved the idea! Her painting, which represents a cancer battle with dark and light-toned flowers, sold for just under $13,000 in 2017, with all proceeds going toward the nonprofits Firefly and Cancer Research. The design was so popular that buyers from Canada and Hong Kong purchased 100 special edition prints!

Since then, Daisy has sold dozens of originals and prints of her work, earning more than $65,000! And true to her giving nature, she’s donated every cent to charity.

What’s more, after the novel coronavirus pandemic began, Daisy found yet another way to give back. She painted a rainbow of daisies to honor frontline workers, then raised over $2,000 for the National Health Service by selling magnets and cards featuring the design!

While Daisy has found all the attention a bit embarrassing, her parents couldn’t be more proud.

“I hope when she’s older she realises just what a special thing she has been doing,” Karen said. “Every single penny she raises goes to charity and it’s making a big, big difference to people’s lives.”

Clearly, Daisy was blessed with two gifts: artistic talent and an incredible propensity for generosity. It’s no wonder her parents are bursting with pride. You can find more of Daisy’s work on Facebook.
