When you’re a mega-celebrity like Taylor Swift, you really don’t have to go out of your way to make others smile. Yet during a final dress rehearsal for her upcoming tour, that’s exactly what she did.

For the past several months, Swift has been working day and night to prepare for her upcoming “Reputation” tour. Swift often shares photos and videos to her Instagram page, chronicling the laborious process of rehearsing the vocals and choreography for her show.

The tour kicks off at the University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale, Arizona, on May 8, 2018, so Swift is putting the finishing touches on her show.

From the little we’ve seen so far, it looks amazing!

As Taylor prepared for one of the final dress rehearsals, the kindhearted star decided to do something a bit unorthodox. Rather than performing for an empty stadium, she wanted to find an audience that might not normally have the opportunity to see one of her concerts.

So she invited thousands of needy kids to come watch her show!

Twitter

Ken Tram, one of the dads who attended the show, posted just how Swift executed the entire impromptu concert.

More than 2,000 free tickets were claimed by foster and adopted children in the Phoenix area. This is the first concert for most of these kids, and they couldn’t believe their good fortune!

During the show, the kids got to hear the song line-up before anyone else in America! They were also treated to free candy and water, but the best part of the experience had to be when Swift herself came out to personally greet as many of the kids as she could.

The superstar posed for photos, gave autographs, and even ordered the entire crowd pizza and joined them for a pizza party!

“She bought pizza and cookies and brownies for the kids, and candy,”one of the moms said on Instagram. “It was amazing. They’ll never forget that. First concert and a pizza party with Taylor Swift.â€

“She performed her entire set for everybody. Her kindness and generosity is so genuine,”Kelli Dillon said. “Officially, one of my favorite human beings on the planet.â€

Swift gave these kids a gift they will never forget, but it was what she did earlier that day that really melts our hearts. When the singer heard that there was one 8-year-old who wanted to come to her private show, but couldn’t because she was in the hospital, the pop star went the extra mile and went to see her, instead.

Isabella McCune was badly burned in a fire pit explosion on St. Patrick’s Day. While she recovers in the hospital, she listens to Swift’s music non-stop.

“Taylor took time out of her busy, busy schedule and sat down on the bed next to Isabella,”said Isabella’s mother, Lilly McCune. “She brought her a bag with goodies from her tour. She said she had to meet her because she was so inspired by her story and honored that her music helped her.â€

It’s so refreshing to see a celebrity take time to genuinely connect with her fans. In a world where social media can often give us a false sense of connection, seeing something this real feels extra-special.

Wishing Swift the best of luck as she begins her busy touring schedule. Thank you for making these kids’ lives brighter!
