Brave Rescuers Walk Into Crumbling House—Refuse To Leave Without Dogs Living Inside.

As long as there are animals being abandoned, there will be a need for heroic humans who work to give those animals the love and care they deserve. One shelter in St. Louis, Missouri is doing just that.

In 1998, Randy Grim founded Stray Rescue of St. Louis with the purpose of rescuing every animal with a sad past so that they can be healed both physically and emotionally.

“Pets from Stray Rescue seem to understand that they have a second lease on life,” Randy Grim writes on the website. “In return for a little affection and attention, these remarkable animals reward their owners with a love and loyalty unmatched anywhere.”

Stray Rescue makes it their focus to save animals from any situation – even a home crumbling right before their very eyes.

This past year, a team from Stray Rescue heard about a family of dogs– a mom, a dad, and two puppies– living in an abandoned home. As all four dogs were terrified and unwilling to go with their rescuers, the rescue took over 2 hours.

The dogs had no idea these “intruders” were taking them out of an unsafe building and into a loving shelter!

Once the dogs were rescued, they were each given names from the characters of the television show “Home Improvement.” The pups were named Brad and Randy, the mother was named Jill, and the father was named Tim the Tool Man.

All four of the dogs are expected to be adopted into loving homes, and Tim the Tool Man is already loving life– and getting totally spoiled– with his new family.
