Snow Falls On Sahara Desert For First Time In 37 Years, And The Images Are Stunning!

The Sahara desert is the largest hot desert in the world and the third largest after Antarctica and the Arctic. The gigantic, sandy expanse is about the size of the continental US  covering Algeria, Chad, Egypt, Libya, Mali, Mauritania, Morocco, Niger, Western Sahara, Sudan and Tunisia.

Instead of the usual sight of mounds and mounds of sand, residents in the small desert town of Ain Sefra, Algeria woke up two days ago to find the towering dunes covered in snow.
