Spanish Trainer Takes To Roof To Lead Quarantined Neighbors In Group Workout.

With the spread of coronavirus affecting communities around the world, it’s hard not to feel alone and afraid right now.

Multiple countries, including Spain, have gone into lockdown, confining millions to their homes. But that hasn’t stopped one man from bringing people together from a distance. As far as Gonzalo is concerned, nothing should get in the way of a good workout – not even a pandemic.

The personal trainer lives in an apartment in Seville, where many are spending their days indoors. Gonzo wanted to give them something to look forward to, so he came up with a brilliant idea: he’d organize a group workout for his neighbors that would also allow them to safely practice social distancing. He spread the word through WhatsApp, then began leading exercises from the complex’s roof as people followed from their windows and balconies.

“All the neighbors were having a hard time and sad, but now, every day they are looking forward to the time for their training. It is a healthy idea, which helps people feel much better and face the situation in Spain in a positive way,” Gonzalo told Today.

What’s more, the same complex is even holding massive Bingo games!

What a great way to not only lift people’s spirits, but help them stay healthy in quarantine! As Gonzalo’s personal training center put it, “This is the spirit of Sano Sevilla Los Bermejales. Despite such adverse circumstances, we’re going to get the best out of you.”
