10 Years After Teen Won ‘The Biggest Loser,’ He Is One Smokin’ Hot Firefighter.

It’s one thing to lose a lot of weight, but it’s another to maintain your amazing physique for ten years (and counting!).

In 2008, Sam Rouen won the third season of the weight loss reality competition “The Biggest Loser.” At the time, Sam was 19 years-old and miserable about his weight and overall physical condition.

Sam weighed 340 lbs and felt like his dream of being active and healthy was way beyond his grasp, but within 12 weeks of working hard on the show, Sam’s whole life changed for the better.

Here’s what Sam looked like when he started the show:

Sam managed to shave off an astounding 156 lbs. during the show, revealing a toned body that most people only dream of achieving.

Ten years after his incredible appearance on “Biggest Loser,” Sam took to Facebook to let the world know that he’s doing fine — better than fine! — but not without a lot of hard work and dedication to staying fit.

“Highest highs and lowest lows,” wrote Sam of the past decade. “All I know is I’ve got some amazing people in my corner and I’m unconditionally appreciative of that.”

These days, he’s totally unrecognizable! Take a look at Sam now….

Um, whoa! Is it HOT in here?!

Sam is now a firefighter who has appeared as a model in an Australian firefighters calendar. He says he can’t even go a day without hitting the gym, which is a huge change from his early teenage years!

As he told The Daily Telegraph“I’m addicted to working out now, I definitely love running and working out with my brother. I play a bit of sport to stay in shape and also work out in the gym.”

Now that Sam feels more confident about himself, he even found love! Sam is engaged to his girlfriend Daniella. What a beautiful couple they are!

Although his unhealthy days are behind him, some of the old anxiety still lingers. “I’m still extremely self-conscious,”he said. “I still don’t like taking my shirt off, even at the beach.â€

However, he wants to get the word out that losing the weight is something everyone can do if they put their mind to it. “You can be at your lowest point and, with a bit of hard work and persistence, you can turn it around and fulfill your dreams,” Sam said.

What a wonderful message! It’s so nice to see how these contestants fare after the cameras stop rolling and they hit the real world.
