The hardest part of any weight-loss plan is the very beginning, when you have to summon up the willpower to say no to dessert or take the time to prepare a salad instead of heading for the nearest drive-thru.
It’s just a matter of drawing that line in the sand and refusing to cross it. Easier said than done, right? Of course, having a role model like Rachel Ray doesn’t hurt.
During a recent episode of the Rachel Ray Show, Adrianna Styer explained that she’d always struggled with her weight. At her heaviest, she tipped the scales at 353 lbs. But an episode of Rachel Ray inspired her to take those first steps.
One day, I had my ‘ah-ha’ moment, and that’s when, after seeing pictures of myself, I knew it was time to change my lifestyle. Then one day, I was watching Rachael Ray, and something flipped — I knew I could change my life.
She started cooking her meals at home and slowly started exercising, and in the span of just 12 months? The pictures speak for themselves.
In the last year, Adrianna’s stuck to her goal through sheer determination and will power, and it’s worked! She’s dropped a whopping 180 lbs. since last May thanks in part to a healthy diet of home-cooked meals.
Not only does she look amazing; she says she feels like a new woman.
Still, something needed to be done about Adrianna’s wardrobe. A lot of people who lose weight hold on to their old clothes as a reminder of how far they’ve come, but Adrianna was still wearing the same oversized shirts that she wore at her heaviest.
And you know what that means: It’s time for a makeover.
