“The Voice” Judges Fight Over 14-Yr-Old Crooner Who Sounds Just Like Michael Bublé.

For most of us, those early teen years were our most awkward. They were filled with insecurity, too much makeup, a lot of hair product, braces, and constant self-doubt (please say it wasn’t just us!). Apparently, Preston C. Howell is so talented he got to bypass the awkward stage of life.

The 14-year-old recently took the stage for a blind audition on “The Voice” where he sang for judges Blake Shelton, John Legend, Gwen Stefani, and Kelly Clarkson. All four judges turned around to campaign to be his coach, and all four of them were equally shocked that someone so young had a voice like his.

This isn’t Preston’s first time on the stage (or his second, third, fourth…). He’s part of an acapella group, was a member of a Broadway Kids group, and has starred in countless plays over the course of his life (all 14 years of it). Preston also performs with a group that helps charities raise money, such as the Boys and Girls club.

He’s basically a professional already and now his fan-base will only get larger thanks to “The Voice”.

When he took the stage, Preston sang the Mama & the Papa’s song, “Dream a Little Dream of Me” and without looking at him, you’d think you were listening to Michael Bublé. The teenager definitely has the crooner style that Michael has and, despite being so young, is able to hit those deep notes with ease.

It didn’t take very long at all for all four judges to notice his talent and turn around for the opportunity to coach him through the newest season of the show. As they turned around and took at look at him, each one of them seemed equally shocked by how young he is. Kelly even looked over at Gwen to gush, “He’s so cute!” upon seeing him.

All of the judges fought the good fight trying to get Preston to pick them as their coach. In the end, he went with fellow-crooner, John Legend to lead him through the season (and hopefully to the finals).

We have a good feeling that Preston will make it far in the competition and he’s clearly talented enough that even if he doesn’t win it all, he will still find fame in his life (he is only 14, after all).
