In February, Motor Unit Deputy Kevin Baker of the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office let a speeding driver off with a warning. Two months later, Baker received a letter from the same driver. Inside was a check for $253 (the amount she would have been fined) written out to a fallen officer’s memorial fund.
