People Said It Was Impossible, But When This Selfless Dad Crossed The Finish Line Everyone Went Crazy!

Team Hoyt – comprised of Dick and Rick Hoyt – is probably the most inspiring duo we’ve ever seen.

Son Rick has cerebral palsy and consequently gets very little physical activity. But one day his father Dick took him for a run. That run turned into a marathon, which morphed into more marathons, and finally ended in king of them all – an Ironman Triathlon.

The Ironman is grueling. It is a 2.4 mile swim, 112 mile bicycle ride, and a 26.2 mile run (a full marathon). Almost nobody on earth can do an Ironman just carrying their own weight, but Dick did the entire thing while pulling AND pushing Rick. His feat should not have been possible.

But it was all worth it. Rick says that when he is running or swimming or biking with his Dad, he feels truly alive. This is the power of love.
