GroovaRoo, is a “a funky babywearing dance class for mamas, papas and their “little joeys”” based in San Diego, California.  Amber and Meeshi Anjali created the organization after meshing their two passions. Meeshi has been in the city for over 20 years teaching multicultural dancing in addition to her love for Urban Soul Line Dancing. As for Amber, she’s concentrated on women in their transition to motherhood and she does this as a Doula, Postnatal Yoga Instructor and Nanny.

When they finally began offering classes, it was already a success! But it’s not all about business, Amber and Meesha have a bigger goal. As they described, it’s “merely a small part of our greater life’s mission to build communities of families where dance is an integral part of everyday life, as it is in many cultures around the world.â€

It’s wonderful to see these moms get out, have fun shake it. But it’s also awesome knowing that their getting time to bond with their babies and create community at the same time.
