NASA Captured 5 Years Of The Sun In Non-Stop Action. The Resulting Timelapse? Mind-Blowing!

Image of the sun from NASA SDO

NASA’s Solar Dynamics Observatory has been orbiting the sun for the past 1,825 days, capturing detailed images of the sun 24 hours a day. The results are staggering: 2,600 terabytes of data and over 200 million images.

This timelapse video was released in honor of the SDO’s five years in operation and highlights some of the most impressive solar flares ever captured on camera. By the end, I was completely overwhelmed by the beauty and sheer power of the sun!

Take in the exceptional beauty of the sun and please share to inspire your friends!
