If you’ve ever spent even one night in a hospital bed, you know how miserable the experience is. Mike, a coronavirus patient in Louisiana, spent 82 days and nights in a hospital bed as he fought off the horrible illness.
After being away for so long, his friends, family, and neighbors wanted to welcome him home in a big way. So, they got a small marching band to lead them in an epic car parade.
In a series of videos shared on Instagram, Mike’s huge smile can be seen, despite the mask covering the bottom half of his face. He’s sitting in his chair dancing along to the band’s music, and later standing on the sidewalk waving to friends as they drive by honking and celebrating his return. It’s such a joyous scene.
Check out the celebration in the video below, and be sure to share it with your friends to spread the joy of Mike’s triumphant return home.
