3-Yr-Old Bakes Up 100s Of Sweet Treats For Local First Responders.

Mia Villa of Stillwater, New York, has been standing on a chair in the kitchen to help her mom whip up batches of chocolate chip cookies since she was 18 months old. These days, the 3-year-old is a baking pro!

When the novel coronavirus pandemic began, her mom Devin had the idea to make some extra treats for local first responders and other essential workers, and Mia couldn’t resist joining in.

“The world was feeling down and we needed some kindness,” Devin told GMA. “I thought, ‘Who doesn’t love a chocolate chip cookie?’ This little 3-year-old could spread smiles, and I hope it teaches her lessons.”

The adorable mother-daughter duo got to work right away, stirring up a giant batch of cookies for nearby hospitals, dental offices, supermarkets, veterinary clinics, and police and fire departments. So far, they’ve donated more than 1,000 cookies!

Mia’s homemade desserts are a huge hit! It helps that they’re delivered by a little one who has taken such a moving interest in helping others.

The response has been so positive that Devin set up a Facebook page called Mia’s Cookie Jar. On this page, people can request deliveries and suggest places for the master bakers to donate their goodies.

The two of them have driven an hour from their home to make deliveries, and everywhere they go, people can’t help smiling!

“They’re so excited to see her, so thankful for what she’s doing,” her proud mom said.

While the original idea was Devin’s, she said Mia has taken the lead on the project in every other way! All Devin does now is ensure they have the right ingredients and help with the oven – the rest is all the toddler!

“I hope it inspires other people to just be kind and grateful,” Devin added. “Mia will bake the cookies, we bake them fresh every day. We box them up, hop in the car, and off we go!â€

The sweet little girl has thought of everyone, even making a special recipe for dog treats so police K9s can taste the love!

Not only is Mia learning a valuable lesson about gratitude and giving back, but she’s also inspiring others to do the same! Sometimes it’s the smallest leaders who show us the way forward.
