16 Miracle Babies Born Prematurely, Now Holding Their Own Baby Pictures

Photographer Red Methot has a different perspective than most of premature babies.

In his project called Les Premas, Red focuses on the transformation after their birth–after they’ve grown a bit and cultivated their strength–rather than their fragile state just after birth.

Another heartwarming part of this story, and the inspiration behind it, is that his own child is one of these preemie transformations.

“My son was born at 29 weeks and my daughter at 33 weeks,” Red said. “These are the kind of pictures I would like to have seen when my first child was born — they’ve been through that, and they are great now.”

Here’s the Takeaway: When it may seem like life is in a fragile balance, it might be just that. But when you have strength and will, amazing things can be accomplished.
