Couple Parodies “Meant To Be” In Hilarious, Viral Pregnancy Announcement.

People keep coming up with more and more creative ways to announce to the world that they’re pregnant.

Erica and Nate Eaton of Idaho Falls, Idaho are no strangers to the baby announcement video trend. The parents of two, soon to be three, have found a funny way to share their happy news with each pregnancy.

In 2013, when Erica was pregnant with their oldest daughter, Emerson, the couple made a video using some of the resources from Nate’s job. At the time, Nate was a news reporter at a television station in Virginia, so they borrowed a camera and made a “Breaking News” video announcement.

Just seven months after Emerson was born, the couple discovered that Erica was pregnant again! This time, Nate and Erica wanted to jump on the song parody craze and make an even more creative announcement than they had the first time around.

“At the time, Taylor Swift’s song ‘We are Never, Ever, Ever Getting Back Together’ was really popular so we made a parody music video,” Erica said.

Changing the song’s lyrics to “We are Having, Having, Having Another Baby,” the parents uploaded the video to Facebook and were shocked when it started to go viral within just a few days.

The funny video was featured on national news channels, leading news anchor Dan Harris to joke that maybe autotune isn’t the worst idea for some singers.

Dan later apologized for the quip, but the Eatons didn’t have any hard feelings! They even name-dropped the “Good Morning America” anchor in their latest video.

Speaking of that latest video… Everett is now three and Emerson is four, and the Eatons just found out they are expecting a third child. How could they ever top the success of their second pregnancy announcement?

They decided to go back to the song parody idea, in spite of Dan’s remarks about their singing voices! This time, they selected a song by Bebe Rexha and Florida Georgia Line called “Meant to Be.”

“It took us a few hours to write the lyrics and then we recorded our voices. Our neighbor shot it all with a cell phone and then Nate edited it,” Erica explained.

In the original song, the refrain is:

If it’s meant to be, it’ll be, it’ll be
Baby, just let it be

So the Eatons turned it into:

We’re having a baby, It’ll be, number 3.
Having baby #3.

Now we ride mini, ride mini, flip up this third row. With baby No. 3 — is it he? Or a she? We’ll just have to wait and see.

After they posted the video online, they were shocked when singer Bebe Rexha herself saw the parody and decided to retweet it to her one million followers!

After Bebe’s retweet, the Eatons became viral superstars once again! Their announcement has been viewed thousands of times, and it keeps growing in popularity as more media outlets continue to share it.
