Matthew McConaughey And His Family Host Sweetest Bingo Game For Quarantined Seniors.

The coronavirus pandemic has turned all of our worlds upside down, but in the words of Matthew McConaughey, we have the power to “turn a red light into a green light.”

“There is a green light on the other side of this red light,” the actor told fans in an Instagram video, encouraging them to hold onto hope. McConaughey is also using his time at home to spread positivity in other ways, including spending time with bingo-loving seniors in Texas.

In April, McConaughey hosted a virtual bingo game on Zoom for quarantined residents of The Enclave at Round Rock Senior Living. His wife, Camilla, two of their children, and his mom, Kay, joined in on the fun as well. And it’s one of the cutest things we’ve seen!

In a clip the facility shared on Facebook, we see McConaughey calling out a number before his family erupts into cheers. One of the players holds up his board, grinning. They have a winner – then another one!

“Richard is waving a hammer up high, we got Charles with the iPad up high,” McConaughey whoops. “We got two winners!”

As evidenced by all their smiling faces, the residents had a blast! This simple yet wholesome game was the dose of joy they all needed. And neither they or the staff could be more grateful.

“During a time when we are all working to make lemonade out of lemons, we are so humbled that Matthew took the time to play our favorite game with us,” the facility wrote on Facebook. “As Matthew would say, let’s turn this red light into a green light!”

Let’s all follow suit by finding ways to turn the reds into greens, for ourselves and our neighbors.
