Marine Would Get Teary-Eyed Thinking About His Puppy, But When They’re Reunited It’s So Sweet!

Lance Corporal Andrew Harmon, a Marine from South Carolina desperately missed his military companion dog. They worked side-by-side with for seven months while serving in Afghanistan. According to TvReportNews, every day they ate together, slept together and searched for IEDs.

“I’ve had multiple dogs before, but the bond wasn’t like this. You know, I can’t describe it,” Harmon said.

But sadly after suffering a blow to the head from an explosion, Rebel, the Labrador Retriever, experienced strokes and had to be sent home and retired.”I just prayed a lot for the dog. I was like, ‘God, I hope one day I get to see him again,'” Harmon said.

But then his prayers were answered.

A tumor on Rebel’s knee required surgery his owner couldn’t afford, so she called Harmon and reunited the loyal pair. The feelings behind Harmon’s reaction are extremely passionate. “It was almost like when I had my daughter or when I got married… something like that. That’s the best way I can describe it.”

Now the two are living together with his wife, his one-year-old daughter and their Labradoodle.
