Dad Takes To Streets With Funny Signs To Spread Smiles After Losing His Job.

Lusindiso Malgas of Cape Town, South Africa, is as resilient as they come.

The 27-year-old father of three is among the millions of people who lost their jobs amid the novel coronavirus pandemic. But despite his hardship, Lusindiso is still smiling – and spreading joy to his neighbors!

Lusindiso’s mother agreed to care for his children in the Eastern Cape for the time being, but he knew he had to get creative to keep money coming in. So he took to the streets of Table View, holding up funny signs to get drivers laughing and hopefully earn a few dollars.

For the hardworking dad, humor and determination are helpful tools for dealing with his situation. While he can’t help but feel sad knowing his children aren’t living with him right now, he’s made it his goal to push ahead with a smile.

“When I lost my job, I was like, ‘What am I going to do? How am I going to survive?'” he said. “All I know is how to make people laugh and how to talk to people. I had no choice but to work and put food on the table.”

Clearly, he’s doing a great job! Pictures of his signs have made their way around the world, amassing thousands of supportive fans online.

One man even created an online fundraiser to help Lusindiso buy a house for himself and his kids! And because his signs are such a hit, Lusindiso is looking into selling T-shirts featuring his slogans.

Talk about optimism! Things may be tough right now, but we have no doubt they’ll get better for this persevering father. Here’s hoping he and his kids are reunited soon! You can help Lusindiso get back on his feet by donating here.
