Girl Who Beat Cancer Shows Everyone What A Warrior Looks Like In Moving Photo Shoot.

A few months ago, the Bowden family of Vernal, Utah, left the hospital with a diagnosis all parents fear. Lula Beth, their precious 4-year-old daughter, had cancer.

Her doctors had discovered a stage 2 Wilms tumor on her kidney, which required immediate attention. So she underwent surgery, followed by 13 rigorous rounds of chemotherapy.

Throughout Lula Beth’s treatment, her mom Kristin, who is a photographer, took plenty of pictures of their experiences.

When Lula Beth’s older brother shaved his head in solidarity with her, Kristin made sure to capture the moment on film and went viral in the process.

“I have tried to document this season in our lives so we could look back on it forever,” the mom explained. “It’s been a very emotional time for us.”

Twenty-two weeks after hearing the terrifying news, Kristin finally got to share the pictures that signify the end of their journey!

On August 28, she staged another photo shoot. Only this time, Lula Beth held up a sign with these victorious words: “It came. We fought. I won.”

Lula Beth’s recent screenings are all clean as a whistle, which means she’s finally out of the woods for this pediatric cancer!

“She did it!!!” Kristin added. “CANCER FREE.”

Through the pain and anxiety of this process, Lula Beth never once let her situation get the better of her. For example, when it came to the endless medical procedures and tests, her mom said, “She flawlessly got through them all and remained the light in our family.”

Now, the Bowdens are looking forward to focusing on non-cancer matters, but they’ll always have these powerful photos to remind them of their strength and perseverance.

“We have been so happy and it has taught us to never take life or health for granted,” Kristin said.

â£â£This is what a true warrior looks like! Not only did she beat cancer, but she also managed to inspire the people around her in the process. Congratulations, Bowden family! We’re so happy for you!
