Lucas Can’t Walk Or Talk But His Brother Helps Him Live A Life Without Limits

Idaho native Noah Aldrich is only 8-years-old, but he knows exactly what it means to put the team on his back. His younger brother Lucas, 6, cannot talk, eat on his own, or walk because of liccensephaly, a rare genetic condition. The two brothers have been inseparable since birth, and Noah doesn’t treat Lucas any different because of his condition. They love watching cartoons and taking walks together.

Noah heard about the local YMCA’s upcoming children’s triathlon and decided that he would enter to compete, with Lucas as his partner. The pair trained for three months to prepare for the triathlon which included a 200-meter swim, a 3-mile bike ride, and a 1-mile run. Noah completed all of the parts while Lucas was attached to him in a raft, a cart, and a jogging stroller. The two finished in 54 minutes and the whole crowd was emotional and cheering them on.

Noah told local news reporters about his brother, “I like everything about him, he’s perfect.” The love and friendship these two share is so beautiful!
