Woman Doesn’t Realize Elaborate Flash Mob Is Her Proposal Until Boyfriend Walks Out.

When and how to pop the question is really a matter of personal taste.

Some men (and women) prefer to do it in private, while others opt for more public venues. But when Paul proposed to his girlfriend a few years back, he decided to make an entire production of it by including nearly 30 musicians, dancers, and singers to help keep things interesting.

Paul brought his unsuspecting girlfriend, Lee, to Carluccio’s, a restaurant in central London, for an early dinner. She only just sat down when he makes some kind of excuse and takes off for what she presumes is just a couple minutes at most.

“I don’t think she’s that observant, so the hope is that she’ll be completely oblivious to the four large cameras that are pointed at her,” Jamie, who helped organize the surprise, said just before the couple took their seats.

She doesn’t, in fact, seem to notice the cameras, at least not right away. And she appears a little surprised, but not completely fazed, when a couple of violinists stroll out and begin playing in a corner of the outdoor seating area.

But her antennae really starts quivering a few seconds later.

That’s when she finds herself virtually surrounded by members of an a cappella group, who start singing the opening lines to John Legend’s “All of Me.” But unless that song has some kind of special meaning to her and Paul, she’s still probably thinking this is just a flash mob or something that’s out to entertain the masses. Maybe a highly talented troupe of street performers?

What would I do without your smart mouth?
Drawin’ me in and you kickin’ me out
You got my head spinnin’, no kiddin’
I can’t pin you down…

They continue on for a couple stanzas, and meanwhile, Paul’s getting ready (no doubt with a hammering heart) to make his grand entrance. And when he hears his cue, he strolls out of a nearby shop with a guitar strapped across his chest and picks up the refrain:

How many times do I have to tell you?
Even when you’re crying, you’re beautiful too
The world is beating you down, I’m around
Through every mood …

Now she gets it… this is all for her!
