For over a decade, Lady Gaga and Tony Bennett collaborated to create beautiful music. This iconic duo surprised folks all around the world with how well their creativity meshed, despite their large age gap and differences in individual music styles. Along with a photo of the pair hugging, Gaga discussed her genuine gratitude for being a part of Bennett’s life. She learned quite a lot from him, it seems, both when it comes to music and life in general.
“I will miss my friend forever,” Gaga wrote. “I will miss singing with him, recording with him, talking with him, being on stage together … But it wasn’t an act. Our relationship was very real. Sure he taught me about music, about showbiz life, but he also showed me how to keep my spirits high and my head screwed on straight.”
Gaga also took the opportunity to encourage others to bond with the older folks in their lives, emphasizing how incredible these relationships can be.
“Take care of your elders and I promise you will learn something special,” she wrote. “Maybe even magical.”
