Little Boy With Epilepsy Needed Help, But When Kind Carpenter Showed Him Special Surprise He Couldn’t Stop Dancing.

Every kid needs a place to be creative and a way to feel important. As children, the options are limited, but with some help their dreams can come true.

Lonnie Macrae of New Richmond, WI is on a mission to do just that. When things get tough for neighborhood kids, this big-hearted carpenter has a plan to make a difference.

“A kid makes a wish, Lonnie gets to work.” – USA Today

Lonnie has a heart for kids going through tough times. His rationale for helping them cope is beautifully simple and direct. He takes time out of his busy schedule to build whatever it is the kids need. His motivation for helping out is incredible.

“I want to reward some of these kids for the awesome, awesome things they do and the courage that they have.”

When Lonnie heard about a neighborhood kid who’s mother had cancer, be built him a treehouse. Another boy’s heroic fight with epilepsy, who wanted to help other kids with the condition, inspired Macrae to build him an awesome lemonade stand.

“To have a talent and not use it or share it is a waste.”

We can all take a great lesson from Lonnie Macrae. Use the talents that you’ve been given to invest in someone’s life! Teach a neighborhood kid to bake, throw a baseball or ride a bike. The smallest thing can make the biggest difference in the life of a child.
