Broadway Singers Form Gospel Choir And Bring Stunning “Stand Up” Cover To AGT.

The instant we heard that JW’s Inspirational Singers, a gospel group, was made up of performers from “the Broadway, film, and TV world,” we knew we were in for a treat.

Founded by New York City singer-songwriter Juson Williams, the choir currently has dozens of talented members. You might recognize them from their stint at the 60th annual Grammy Awards in 2018, where they backed up Sam Smith.

For their “America’s Got Talent” audition, the performers took on “Stand Up” by Cynthia Erivo. The powerful hit song was featured in the biographical film “Harriet,” and JW’s Inspirational Singers lived up to their name with their soaring message of “togetherness and unity.”

All four celebrity judges gave the group a standing ovation. Howie Mandel even told them, “You are more than just a choir; you’re more of an event.” We couldn’t agree more! Be sure to keep an eye on this gifted group as they advance to the next round of the competition.

See them in action in the video below, and don’t forget to share this amazing story with your friends.
