Josh Groban is known for being a spectacular, multi-platinum singer and songwriter, but in case you didn’t know, he’s also hilarious.
Josh has a subtle sense of humor that he’s never afraid to utilize, putting people at ease in his audience and elsewhere with a kindly joke or snarky aside. On a recent episode of the British talk show, “The Jonathan Ross Show,” we were treated to a rare combination of his seemingly-effortless musical abilities and his sense of humor – and we’re still giggling over the results.

In the segment, Jonathan asks Josh to come up with new songs on the spot, which would be difficult enough even without the silly material. Said material is reviews taken from the travel review site TripAdvisor; if you’ve ever browsed it, you know some of the comments are doozies!
First up, Jonathan hands Josh a card with a review of one of the United Kingdom’s most prized landmarks: Stonehenge. Josh admits he’s never been to the mysterious structure but he jumps in without hesitation.

“Just a load of old rocks with a greedy price tag,” he begins. Josh manages to sing the entire review, deciding afterward that the song had a distinctly “Elton John” quality.

Next up is a staple for those who visit London: Westminster Abbey.
For this one, Josh decides that a “classical” feel is in order, and he bends his head towards the keyboard in mock seriousness. Of course, the review doesn’t have much of a classical feel itself; it’s just someone complaining about the long lines and the fact that they didn’t see any ghosts.

The final destination on this musical journey is Ben Nevis, a mountain in Scotland that’s the highest peak in the U.K. “This person really bared their soul,” Josh murmurs as he quickly peruses the two-page review. He settles on a “Bruce Springsteen” style, complete with growling vocals and a heartfelt final chorus.
Thanks to all of the oddly personal details in the review, this one’s the best one yet.
