John Mayer & Alicia Keys Mash Up 2 Of Their Biggest Hits & It’s Crazy Good.

Ever since she first debuted 17 years ago, Alicia Keys has been winning millions over with her sultry voice and chart-topping albums. Among those millions of fans are fellow musical heavyweights such as John Mayer.

And if you were lucky enough to be in Times Square, New York on October 9, 2016, you would have gotten to witness one incredible collaboration.

Alicia and her crew held a pop-up concert there that evening to promote her upcoming album, “Here,”which was released just weeks later.

Standing behind the piano, the bright lights and scrolling billboards of Times Square serving as a backdrop, she takes fans down memory lane with her 2003 hit song, “If I Ain’t Got You,”from her second studio album, “The Diary of Alicia Keys.â€

But this concert special, dubbed “Here in Times Square,”became all the more special about two minutes into the song. That’s when Questlove made his entrance, strolling onstage and sliding in behind the drums:

And talk about a collaboration! He picks up the second verse, then performs a bluesy guitar solo that seamlessly transitions into his 2006 hit ballad, “Gravity.”Its an unexpectedly seamless mash-up between two legendary artists with completely different musical styles.
