But it must be said that some people just really have a knack for it and put our clumsy moves to shame. Just ask Jessica Cox and John Lindo!

In fact, the two of them are among the best-known swing dancers in the world!
Jessica has a background in jazz, tap, ballet, latin, and ballroom. She’s been dancing since she was five years old and, even after all that time, a particular style called West Coast swing has her heart. This style is characterized by fluid, almost elastic-like motions and the art of improvisation between partners.

John started his dancing career in the country-western circuit back in 1992, but he eventually found his way to West Coast swing as well. He and Jessica hit it off back in the day and have been dancing together ever since, racking up lots of awards in competitions along the way!

One performance they put on at a Boogie By The Bay competition in San Francisco in 2011, in particular, had lots of people in the dance community and beyond talking. It perfectly illustrates the very best things about West Coast swing and their improvisation together is so spot-on that it looks choreographed!

It’s easy to see that these two have amazing chemistry and that they love dancing together. People in the comments under the video could just tell that they had a blast.
