Sweet Husband Still Finds A Way To Sing To His Wife With Alzheimer’s Despite Coronavirus Restrictions.

John Kline’s wife, Ann has been battling Alzheimer’s for 17 years. Through it all, he’s stood by her side and when she moved into an assisted living facility, he began visiting her every day, multiple times a day.

If you look at John’s Facebook page, you’ll see years of status updates, the majority of which are dedicated to his “sweetheart” Ann. He regularly shares photos of their continued adventures and always declares his love and his vow of “til death do us part” (basically, he’s husband goals).

With the rise of COVID-19 cases in the United States, more and more restrictions have been put on visitors (including devoted husbands). Now, in an effort to protect the high-risk patients in these facilities, visitors are no longer allowed at all.

This could have discouraged John and stopped him from showing up for Ann. But, it’s obvious how much he adores his sweet wife, so he found a way to see her and continue to encourage her through her fight – by talking to her through the window.

Despite her diagnosis, John says, “my precious, Ann, knows the hymns, she knows the Bible, she knows her John.” So, during one of his recent visits through her window, the two of them sang “Amazing Grace” together.

The moment was captured by one of the nursing home workers, and John (of course) posted the sweet video to his Facebook page. In it, you see the devoted husband pressed up against the glass, and Ann staring back at him as they sing one of her favorite hymns.

Not even a pandemic will stop this man from seeing his bride.

Watch the sweet duet in the video below – and be sure to share this heartwarming story with your friends.

Through a Pane–not a Pain. No visitors to John Knox Manor Nursing Home. Not my best singing–so you probably won't want to listen. I cut it off at 45 seconds. I love my Sweet Ann and look forward to spending eternity with her. God bless you for even looking–and if you listened, well that was because you wanted to hear Ann.
