Woman Stunned By Valentine’s Gift From Husband Who Died 4 Months Ago

After being diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumor last February, Jim Golay began planning for, of all things, Valentine’s Day. This wouldn’t be the first thought for most men in a similar situation, but for Jim it was an opportunity to express love for his wife from beyond the grave.

Jim made a special arrangement with a local flower shop before passing away in June of 2014. The shop was to deliver his wife’s favorite flowers every Valentine’s Day until she too passes away.

This Valentine’s Day, Jim’s wife Shelly was stunned when she found flowers on her doorstep. She told KCWY 13 News that she thought the flowers were from her kids at first. She then called the flower shop to find out it was all part of Jim’s “Everlasting Valentine’s Day Plan.”

In an interview with ABC News, Shelly had this to say about her husband

“Jim was just an amazing man. Everybody that ever met him loved him. He was always just my rock. And the whole family’s rock. And he just had this unwavering faith that was just inspiring. Always had a positive attitude.”

My Takeaway: Love can’t be bound by death; it’s something that will continue deep within us, if we choose to let Love in.
