“This is going to be really scary, but this is going to change your life forever, okay? So just take this moment and enjoy it.”
Those were the words spoken by British singer-songwriter Jessie J as she helped a young fan adjust the audio piece she’d just placed in her ears. Jessie had been performing before a crowd of thousands at the Electric Castle festival in Romania when she spotted a child singing and dancing her heart out in the front row. Impulsively, Jessie singled the child out and invited her on stage.

The girl turned out to be a ten year old from Romania named Adalia, and she told Jessie that someday she hopes to become a superstar too. She’s well on her way now!

Jessie was incredibly moved by meeting Adalia, later describing the event on Instagram.
“I noticed this little girl. I said “Can you sing, I feel like you can”she said “Yes”I said “I have 20 mins left in my set and 15 mins of music, that means I have 5 minutes of time. I want to give those 5 minutes to you”Her face lit up 😩â¤âœ¨ she ran up on stage… I asked her name “Adalia and I am 10 years old”I whispered in her ear “do you want to sing Price tag”she said “No Jessie J I want to sing masterpiece”that was the next song on the setlist. I was like “Okaaaaay girl let’s go – track or acoustic”Adalia said “track”I said “first or second verse”she said “first please.â€

After getting the little girl outfitted with a microphone and earpieces, the pair were ready to sing Jessie’s hit song, “Masterpiece.” As soon as Adalia began to sing, it became clear that this kid not only has talent, but she’s got a stage presence most adults would envy!

“WHEN Adalia opened her mouth to sing. EVERY person in the audience / my band / my crew and I were blown away!!!! MAGIC!!! WOW!!! Those moments you can’t stage. Light, energy, love gave us all that moment. Atalia you gave me one of my favourite moments of my whole career. You blessed our ears and our hearts. THANK you for showing me how brave, fearless, professional and bright you are. When we finished i said “anything you would like to say to the audience”she said “I love them.” It was one of the most inspiring things that has happened on stage for me in a long time. I feel lucky I got to sing with you.”

Adalia nailed every aspect of the performance, and she didn’t even seem the least bit nervous or out of her element. In fact, she strutted right alongside Jessie as if she’d been doing it her whole life!

Jessie could not stop gushing over the experience, telling her fans that singing with Adalia was one of the highlights of her career, to date.
