Romantic dates nights are an important part of any relationship.
Jeffrey “Butta” Johnson had one of these evenings scheduled with his wife Candace, but they had to postpone because of COVID-19 concerns. Thankfully, Jeff is a self-taught chef, so he found a perfect way to show Candice extra love during quarantine!
The Minneapolis, Minnesota, native took it upon himself to create his very own at-home restaurant. Naturally, he called the new eatery “Quarantine Grill” and added a series of decadent items to the menu.
Yes, you read that right — he even made a menu!
He really brought his A-game to this meal! Not only did he prepare some incredible food, but he also put up a “reserved” sign on their table, played soft music, and dimmed the lights to set the mood.
Their appetizer was a jumbo lump crab cake that has our mouths watering just looking at it!
As for their main course, they had Cajun stuffed salmon filled with grilled shrimp asparagus. If you think that sounds good, just look at it!
“Cheffrey” served that magnificent creation with sides of garlic herb mashed potatoes and sautéed collard greens. Then they topped it all off with a delicious strawberry cheesecake for dessert.
He was so pleased with how their date turned out that he shared his Quarantine Grill menu on Twitter. His post quickly went viral, and now he’s sharing their joy with the world!
We can only assume Candace was touched when she found out just far her husband went to make their evening special. What a great reminder that we can find goodness in the most uncertain times!
