It Takes A Village: Cop Steps Up To Hold Baby So Struggling Mom Can Land A Job.

There’s a reason people say that “it takes a village to raise a child.”

One Georgia mom was likely especially aware of this while in her local municipal court recently. She was trying to get her fingerprints taken, something she needed to do for a job, but her upset baby made it difficult. Luckily, a caring person took notice of the struggling Mom.

That person was Officer Michelle Johnson. After retiring from 25 years of service as a Deputy Sheriff to a nearby county, Officer Johnson is now spending her time at the Duluth Municipal Court as a bailiff. Although watching kids isn’t in her job description, she didn’t hesitate to offer the Mom help, which she gladly accepted.

In addition to holding the child while Mom finished her work, Officer Johnson also got some warm water to help warm up a baby bottle for the hungry infant. It was a simple act of kindness, but it’s one that is warming the hearts of countless thanks to a photo that captured the moment.

It’s small acts of kindness like these that make the world a better place!

Share Officer Johnson’s caring gesture with a friend.
