Dancers Prance Across Giant Piano Keys And The Result Is Mesmerizing.

We were all impressed when we watched Tom Hanks and Robert Loggia play “Chopsticks” at the FAO Schwarz toy store in the movie “Big.” But that was mere child’s play compared to what these two performers can do.

Silvia Zotto and Leo Moreno are members of the Italian performance group Il Grande Piano. The giant floor piano was dreamt up by one of the members, Manuel Benyacar, and they’ve been wowing audiences with their performances ever since.

Manuel was inspired by the movie “Big” to build a piano like the one in that iconic scene. In the video below, Il Grande Piano musicians begin playing “Comptine d’un autre été, l’après-midi” from the movie, “The Magical and Surreal World of Amelie.”

Because Manuel’s design is easy to transport, it means they can perform anywhere in the world. They travel from outdoor plazas and arenas to buildings as historical as a cathedral built in the 1400s in Savigliano, Italy.

The now-famous group is always entertaining and at times absolutely mesmerizing.

Watch the group perform “Comptine d’un autre été” by Yann Tiersen. Don’t forget to share their delightful performance.
