On April 30, 2016, 100-year-old Ida Keeling entered the ’80 and older’ division at the Penn Relays to compete in the 100-meter dash.
With the number 19 posted on her back, she lined up in lane three waiting for the starting gun. And boy did she book it! Ida finished the dash in 1 minute and 17 seconds; A new world record for the 100+ age group!
Her choice of celebration might top the victory, however. Not only did Ida hug family members after the race, she kept up the energy by doing some full-fledged push-ups.
Ida proves that “it’s never too late to make your mark.” Share this motivating video today!
