Dance Team’s “Harry Potter” Pep Rally Transforms High School Into Hogwarts.

Harry Potter fans, this one’s for you!

J.K. Rowling released the last book in the series in 2007, but its legacy lives on in Broadway and on the big screen, as well as high school skits and pep rallies around the country. One such rally took place before the big homecoming game at San Juan Hills High School in San Juan Capistrano, California, and the dance team nailed it!

This performance features Harry Potter, Hermoine, Ron and the rest of the boy wizard’s gang, and some of his nemeses, acting out scenes from various books. Dressed as schoolchildren, the team piles out of the train and starts dancing away until Harry’s pulled aside and sorted with the rest of the Gryffindors. They all go off to prepare for the big quidditch game, allowing Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff some time in the spotlight to show their stuff!

But the Gryffindors apparently need some more time to brush up on their quiddich skills, because Harry comes flying across the gymnasium on a skateboard, moving as quickly and smoothly as if he were on a broomstick. He’s soon surrounded by the other players and they all swoop and  swirl across the floor, trying to get this hilarious snitch!

Uh oh. Here come the Death Eaters. How dare they crash this game? This spells trouble for sure, but at least they have the decency to show us some good ol’ MJ moves before launching their attack:

Everyone attends so many pep rallies during their school years that they all start to blend together after a while, but no one’s likely to forget this one because they did such an incredible job. And you can tell they’re having fun with it, which makes watching it even better!

Kristine Calder, the school’s dance teacher, uploaded the video to YouTube five years ago and it’s still getting hits and comments, especially about that ridiculously adorable snitch:
