Marching Band Gets Hilarious Halftime Dancers During “Jurassic Park” Theme Song.

If you’re wondering why so many dinosaur costumes have been popping up recently, it probably has a little something to do with the 25th anniversary of “Jurassic Park.”

And far be it from marching bands to get in on the action! At Saturday’s Iowa State-West Virginia football game, Iowa State University’s marching band paid homage to Steven Spielberg’s blockbuster 1993 hit by a tune from “Jurassic Park.” But the song wasn’t even the best part…

During the halftime show, a bunch of mini T-Rexes poured out onto ISU’s Jack Trice Stadium, bobbing, weaving, and shuffling in their inflatable costumes. The soundtrack created by the marching band was appropriately John Williams’ “Jurassic Park”theme song.

Those costumes aren’t exactly designed with grace or comfort in mind, but you really gotta hand it to these guys and gals. They did a spectacular job…

Especially the T-Rex on the bottom right there, who really got into the spirit.

Once word about this routine got out online, of course, Twitter was all over it:

The university’s band director, Christian Carichner, said he got the idea after seeing a routine the University of Michigan’s marching band did back in 2017. That performance paid tribute to “Jurassic Park,” as well as other cinematic favorites like “Star Wars,” “Home Alone,” and the Harry Potter franchise.

No one will ever know whether this hysterical halftime show had anything to do with it, but we like to think the team was in such high spirits afterward that it gave them the extra kick they needed, winning the game 30-14.

Check out the routine in the video below, and share to spread more laughs!
