“The Right Thing To Do.” 8-Yr-Old Mows Lawns And Collects Food For People In Need.

Greyson Winfield’s parents are both former firefighters, so he has grown up understanding exactly what it means to look out for his Conway, South Carolina, community and help whenever he can.

By the time he was 4, Greyson was already collecting Christmas toys for those less fortunate than he was. These days, the selfless 8-year-old is doing so much more!

He started an organization called Helping Footprint, which collects donations and gives gift cards to people in need so they can buy food. Greyson also personally prepares meals for local children and offers lawn services to anyone who could use a little help.

His adorable business card says he provides free support to several groups, including veterans and single moms. Not to mention, he helps out with “food assistance and smiles.” We’re already beaming!

His mom Stevie, dad Greg, and younger brother Garrett are all working alongside him at Helping Footprint!

Stevie explained that the novel coronavirus pandemic is what got Greyson to think bigger. “He asked how people will keep their homes and feed their children if they aren’t working,” she told CNN. “That is truly what started Helping Footprint take off.”

Of course, his parents couldn’t be prouder! “He’s a real special guy,” Greg said. “Helping Footprint – that he came up with pretty much on his own. You know, me and mom helped him with it a little bit. But he’s a pretty amazing kid.”

Best of all, this is only the beginning of Greyson’s journey to help others! He plans to become a Navy SEAL when he’s older because “helping others is the right thing to do. Also JFK was in the Navy before becoming president and I want to follow his lead.” What a cutie – and a hero!
