Girl Wins $70,000 Truck, Then Does Something Completely Unexpected.

Your average 13-yr-old dreams of fast forwarding life a few years to the coveted freedom of licensed driving, but Erin Byrnes is anything but your usual teenager.

The big-hearted teen collected enough bottles and cans to purchase 60 raffle tickets from her favorite charity Joseph’s House… and randomly won a $70,000 Chevy Tahoe in the charity raffle! Instead of keeping the car until her 16th birthday, Erin did something no one could have expected.

Erin and her mom babysit every Thursday at Joseph’s House, a non-profit focused on finding housing and resources for young, single mothers. Of the 26,000 raffle tickets purchased at the fundraising event, one of Erin’s 60 tickets was was chosen for the grand prize. Instead of waiting for her 16th birthday and a chance to drive the vehicle, Erin immediately donated it back to Joseph’s House.

When asked why she would give the brand new SUV away, she replied simply “Joseph’s House is very important to me. They need the money more than I do. And if you saw those babies, you would have done the same thing.”

Josephs House was overwhelmed with appreciation and pride for their young volunteer, “We are so proud of her and thrilled for this incredible opportunity to touch as many hearts as possible! God bless Erin and her family!”

What an amazing story of kindness and sacrifice!
