Most moms and dads have the honor of being their child’s hero. But when it comes to Lovely Janae’s little one, she said it’s the other way around.
The mom of two from Austin, Texas has always been inspired by her 6-year-old daughter, who has cerebral palsy. Despite her struggles, Love is constantly smiling. And when she sets her mind to something, she’ll do it — no matter how hard it may be.
Lovely captured her daughter’s most recent achievement in a video that has since gone viral. In the clip, we can see that Love has decided to try taking a few steps without her walker. She braces herself on their furniture, then lets go to see if she can make it by herself.
And for the first time ever, she does! Her response makes it clear that even she didn’t expect to do so well, so it’s all the more impressive that she made the attempt in the first place.
When she finishes walking in one direction, her triumphant face says everything about how she feels — as does her celebratory laugh. And she’s not done! She turns around and goes back across the room with her little brother Tyran by her side.
Of course, Lovely was ecstatic. “I’m so proud of my baby,” she said later. “She proved that anything is possible.”
“Most of you know my daughter has cerebral palsy and needs her walker to get around,” Lovely added. “She decided to get up and try walking without her walker and braces. My hero is not someone older than me. It’s my 6-year-old princess.”
Millions watched and cheered for Love, including her idol, YouTube superstar JoJo Siwa! “This little girl is amazing! Walking like a rockstar,” she wrote online. “If anyone knows this girl, please help me reach out to her!”
We don’t know if Love will ever meet the YouTube star, but we are certain she deserves to! What an awesome reminder of what we can do! Keep up the great work, Love!
Watch the little girl make her mom proud in the video below, and be sure to share this beautiful moment with anyone needing encouragement!
