For the past 21 years, country superstars Faith Hill and Tim McGraw have defied the odds and kept their love going strong, in spite of their hectic celebrity lifestyles.
Recently, they opened up about the tactics they’ve used to fan the flames of love for all those years together, and their advice is both simple and profound. The country power couple have been in love ever since Faith opened for Tim’s Spontaneous Combustion tour back in 1996. They’re the proud parents of three daughters, Gracie, 21, Maggie, 19, and Audrey, 16.

The couple sat down for an interview and shared their top three secrets to keeping their love alive.
1. Sharing a career – and a love of music.

One aspect of their union that sets Tim and Faith apart from many celebrity couples is the fact that they often make music and go on the road together. In 2017, the two treated audiences around the globe to their Soul2Soul World Tour, and their first album of duets, “The Rest Of Our Life,” has delighted fans.
“It’s such a rare thing to be able to experience what we do for a living, and to do it together, really feels like all the moments are special,”Tim said.
The pair also has a mutual respect for the other’s talent, with Faith confiding, “I watch him perform and still to this day I’m awed by it. Tim is the absolute best entertainer, hands down. He can bring a crowd to their feet with the motion of his hand. He knows how to deliver songs to the fans and make them feel like he’s singing to them.”
“I could listen to her sing all night,”Tim agreed. “She’s such a powerhouse that it forces me to raise my game every night.”
2. Carve out some alone time.

Tim and Faith both make an effort to set aside time for date nights. They recently went to New York City to see “Springsteen on Broadway,” yet they both enjoy spending downtime at home, too.
“Funny, as we get older it’s less about the big gestures and more about just spending the time together at home,” Faith said.
“For our 20th wedding anniversary, we stayed home, in our pajamas and watched TV,”Tim said. “We loved it.â€
3. Spend time apart, too.

Even when they’re spending every waking second together on the road, Tim and Faith make sure to make time for their own interests. They also insist on separate dressing rooms.
“We both have our daily routines and we have our own dressing rooms. We each have our own space to retreat to so we do get time to ourselves,” Faith said.
Last but not least, the couple maintains one important tradition every time they perform together on stage. “Tim and I share a quick quiet moment together before hitting the stage,”said Faith. “Always praying.â€
